The Ravin R26
Ravin R26 Crossbow, Predator Dusk Camo($1999) is the most compact crossbow on the market by reducing the overall length to just 26″ they lost 3″ of the power stroke and narrow it down to only 5.75″ when cocked and 9.25″ uncocked but still manage to get 400 fps out of the system weighing 6.5 lbs, remarkable.
The HeliCoil technology coils the string around to about 340 degrees for Rifle like accuracy.
With their frictionless flight system Ravin has done away with a flight deck, now you have a flouting bold with minimum resistance that delivers higher speeds and added accuracy.
Track-Trigger firing system slides towards the string on a track where it will latch on in a consistent balanced way for a perfect draw. Nothing to fear as it come standard with auto safety and anti-dry fire systems.
Cocking and Decocking
Cocking and Decocking is made easy with the versa-draw cocking system with 12 lb of draw weight that is build into the platform.
This crossbow is easy to handle due the compact size but deliver a deadly punch of 142 ft-lbs kinetic energy it comes in Ravin’s Predator Dusk camouflage.
They are pre-tuned with a 100 yard illuminated scope and are capable of 3″ groups at 100 yards.
It is a pricey crossbow but with all the technology that you would expect from it, it is well worth the investment.
The weight and compact size make this crossbow perfect for me as I have a torn router cuff shoulder. I can’t use a compound bow any more and I need the weight of the crossbow as close to my body as possible to handle it comfortable.
